Determination of Optimum Operating Conditions of Different Types of Intercooler Designs in Supercharged Engines

In the rapidly developing automotive technology, efforts to achieve high performance with less fuel consumption is one of most important issues today. The purpose supercharged systems developed for this reason send more air into cylinder. For engine and low exhaust emission values, intake temperature, which heated in turbo-compressor has oxygen concentration (the amount unit air) decreased, must be kept at certain levels. Therefore, between compressor outlet cylinder inlet cooled. study, different types intercoolers were designed analyzed help ANSYS Fluent (CFD) program, optimum conditions tried obtained by comparing them each other.
